| I am the one getting stalked! Lilly is so unusual, atleast around here, both in being a husky and being all white that people can't help themselves. I get asked if she's a wolf and then when I tell them she's a husky, they want to know if she's an albino. Um, no. Then they want to know if something is wrong with her eyes since she's bi-eyed. I try to be patient. I will, however, stalk the huskies. I don't care as much about talking to the owners as I do about interacting with the dogs. I see a husky, I just squat down and let them come to me. I usually end up with husky kisses and owners saying "oh i'm sorry, she doesn't usually do that". Ha, yeah, but they know I'm a husky person. |

| I'm a total husky stalker, that's how I ended up here Now I'm totally stalked. I went to a pet expo a few months ago and random people stopped me and asked if they could get a picture with my dog. I thought that was too funny, but Frankie loves feeling like a celeb. |

| I definitely Husky stalk, but I'm an Equal Opportunity Large Dog Stalker (the yippee little dogs I'd rather turn into footballs). It is funny being on the other side and being stalked now. I think I mentioned it before, but I used to walk a 3 1/2 mile trail on the weekends. My husband would drop me and Nutmeg off at the trailhead and drive to the parking lot where it ended. We'd walk along the Susquehanna River while he would photograph eagles. I can't tell you how many times he'd end up calling asking where I was on the trail b/c so much time had gone by. I always get stopped by SOOOOO many people when I'm out walking with Nut, and the "regulars" started recognizing her and wanting to stop and chat :-) Of course, the most frequent question--"Is that a Husky???" LOL! |

| Oh, I get the "Is that a Husky" and the " omg, is that a wolf", or the "what's a snowdog doing in Miami?" LOL |

| Just a little The amount of attention these doggies get is amazing! Actually, sometimes it gets a little annoying, to be honest. Since you don't see a husky too often in Miami it's constant. I mean every 5min on their daily walks. Luckily, we see a lot of regulars at the park and they just wave. |

| I'm a huge husky stalker, too... Yesterday, for a program at the college I work for, a family brought in their 8 husky puppies so students could come play with and love on them to de-stress during finals week. After I had a few minutes with all of these fluffy, sweet babies, I spent a good half hour talking to their owner about huskies, all things dog in general - it was a good time.
I tend to walk Nikolai at twilight/night, but it seems like a *LOT* of people see us on the trail and stop to chat. The first thing out of everyone's mouth is usually, "That's a husky, right? He's so small! Is he still a puppy?" |
