He definitely changed a lot since the blowing of his puppy coat!
But he is still my beautiful boy, He loves his water bottles we, even play a game we call water bottle soccer, he uses his paws but sometimes he cheats and uses his mouth! LOL

my boys Keno and Klutch went through some major color changes growing up. most can't believe Keno is the same dog these days!

I'll be interested to see how she turns out after she blows her coat for the first time.

Wow, I hope Mya gets a little darker because I love red and white huskies. When did you notice your girl getting darker? After her first coat blow?

She actually started to turn gray and then when she had her first coat blow she started to become a darker red. That was probably when she was around 5-7 months old. She's just over a year now and she was about 9 months old in that 2nd picture

Yea, Mya is just staying this blond/cream color and you can see the red in her top coat when she lays in the sun and its in her face pretty dark.

I have a neighbor who's husky started off the same light red/cream color and now he is gray and white with red on the top of his head and ears, it's really hard to predict how their coats will turn out! But judging on the picture of yours I would assume she will be red, my girl had way less red at that age (she was more white with just a little red) and she ended up being a lot more red.

Wow, now I can't wait what will come of her lol.

she still has the blond on her legs and now she is getting lighter again around her neck line but her back is almost black.... i say she is confused ..... Still considered a dark copper

She has a "snow nose when I first got her too, and now that is gone. the pink is now up into her nose lol Crazy how much they change.

She also had dark blue eyes when i got her then they turned green now they are turning again!!!! Now they are turning yellow.

So, I was giving Mya a bath the other day and all of her hair underneath the top cream coat is like a solid dark brown. Is this what she will turn out to be when she finally sheds for the first time?

It might, I'm not an expert on this by far but I know Nova got really light, and for like a month before her guard hairs started really showing her under fur was a weird blue color and then she turned a dark grey.

It's really hard to tell what color they will end up. I thought Dizzy might be a silvery grey, but in the last couple weeks, his back has turned almost black, I think he's starting to grow guard hair finally, his white also seems to be getting whiter in some places, but he still has his puppy fluff and coat. I'll try and get a pic today to show it. I think he might turn out to be a wolf grey. Once they hit maturity at around 2, they seem to get lighter and lighter as they age. It's always a toss up though until then to see how dark they will get.

Well she will be a red of some kind....to early to tell right now. Got any close pictures?

This is a pretty good close up one. If you look at her hind leg, you can see the dark brown coming through. You can really see it when she is standing in the sun.

It has many users before and after pics of their pups so you can get an idea of how drastic their coat change can be!

Lycus had no gray on him when he was a pup. He had a black spot on his tail and that was all. When he was growing up, he grew gray all down his back and tail, as well as around his ears giving him an open mask. When he was under a year, his gray was really dark, and it has definitely lightened up since then. He's just a light gray with mostly white now.

Mya is 6 and 1/2 months old now so I think she may be done changing color and this is how she turned out. She is so beautiful especially with her sky blue eyes!

How beautiful! I have watched Rogue change from light red, to darker brown to a mixture of red and brown now. He has just barely started getting his guard hairs in - in fact I have had people ask what I do to keep him so soft and smooth and I always reply that because we live in Arizona he must be acclimated to the AC in the house. He is a very spoiled boy!  

Recently he seems to be shedding more and more, so I am thinking that his coat may become thicker and more course. Does that sound right?
