Dizzy recently got upgraded from a towel to an old pillow, and provided he does well with that and doesn't destroy it, I'd like to get him a nice bed from L.L. Bean. They are pretty pricey though, so I want to see if anyone has experience with them and how they like them. I'm considering the therapeutic bed. Any thoughts?

My friend has one of these, and they are really nice. She got an extra large for her Bernese mountain dog and they are absolutely huge, so if you have an LL Bean near you I would at least go look at the sizes because you might be able to get away with a medium. Plus with there return policy it might be good, just in case it ever rips or anything else non Dizzy related, of course. Very Happy

i know your in the city, but do you or do you know anyone with a costco membership? we have had a reg round bed for like 4yrs now and one of the memory foam beds for about 3yrs now and damn have they held up, ours dont eat them but Jack "digs" in it every night before laying down and they both still look great with washing regularly.

I was thinking the medium would be perfect... I will have to check them out. I've heard they have a great return policy, does it cover chewing? Jbealer, thatnks for the link. There is a costco in Harlem, and we were thinking about joining anyway, so I will definitely check that out.

The medium is bigger and cheaper than the LL Bean medium...

I think their policy covers absolutely everything if you aren't happy with your purchase so I bet if he did chew it they would take it back. But they are really tough bed, so I don't think you would have a problem. Is this something that is for his crate?

For now it will be for his crate, the medium would fit perfectly and still leave room for me to leave his water bowl in there. I have the alcove of our apartment sectioned off with a baby gate, and eventually, I'd like to be able to allow him loose in there, and maybe eventually tear down the crate if it works out, that's a bit of a long shot though.
