So I received Meeka's Singletrak today. Received it in small but the pack fits her super tight. Is that how it's supposed to be, I definately don't see the track moving around due to the tightness, I can baaaaarely put a finger in when the pack is on her (chest).

Considering going Medium. Thoughts?
What is her girth measurement and what is her weight?
How old is she?

Looking at the Palisades Pack for my dog. It seems he's at the small end of the medium. He's has a 28" girth and he's about 46lbs. From the comments above it sounds like I should get the small and not the medium?
Looking at Ginger's harness on her Palisades Pack, there is about 2-3 inches slack left on the straps. If your pup is going to still fill out, you might want to get the medium. The only thing about the medium would be if your pup is about 22" tall, the packs may be a little big, meaning it would hang past his underside. If he is a little taller, then the medium should be fine.

Just re-measured her today and her girth is 26" and she is 22' tall.

I'm dumbfounded since the small fits up to 26' and the small Singletrak fits her super tight to the point I can barely wiggle a finger in her when the pack is on her. I must suck at measuring...

But if her girth is 26 and the pack fits up to a 26 then that means that if will be close to if not at the largest possible setting. Seems like she is on the cusp of a small and medium, right?

What's confusing about that?

Jeff - so sorry, I have a quick trigger on my mac. The small goes up to 28", and she is currently at 26'.

That would leave 2' of wiggle room to play with, but doesn't seem that way.

haha, ok then, fair enough Smile

Well she is still within the last bit of that size and still on the cusp. I guess if you want to use it now then the small was best but in 3, 4...months, you're probably gonna have to upsize.

I'm gonna buy an approach pack soon but I'm gonna buy a medium which probably won't fit Link now, but he can't be backpacking now anyway.

Just water in your singletrack is probably not that big of a deal, just take it easy on the intensity of the hikes Wink

For all you Ruffwear lovers out there, I just glanced at their site and saw this...you can wet your whistle on the upcoming fall release on their new lineup.

Just ordered a ruffwear float coat for Harry and am looking forward to trying it out this weekend at the lake. Hopefully he'll be a little more confident in the water as he tends to sink a little low. This is my first ruffwear purchase (hopefully as everyone has said, the quality will match the price) and if Harry doesnt like it, at least it'll fit our other dog.

Harry's life vest arrived. Haven't been able to get any water time with it, but it fits very well and I am very impressed with the quality. I'm a little concerned about the strength of the handle, but hopefully it holds up fine.

Harry apparently loves it too

Let me know how Harry likes his vest! I'm going to get my pups one to use next summer, I'm hoping going into Fall or Winter I can find them on sale, but I want to know how well they do in the water first.

Juneau's is a medium with some room around the collar. She is 50 lbs and 21 inches tall. Not sure how big your Koda is!

Try to wrap a string (gently of course) around his neck and measure it that way?

Ditto for Link, medium on both nylon and waterproof.
