Trying to get Husky/dane mix - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Trying to get Husky/dane mix   Trying to get Husky/dane mix - Page 2 EmptyWed Jan 13, 2010 9:03 am

If you don't want puppy crazy active, you may need an older adult dog. Evo is extraordinarily active. He's 18 months and can play for hours without tiring. He's as sweet as they come, but I haven't met a pup yet that wasn't nuts. Chances are, your pup was a typical crazy puppy but you were 8 and I don't know any 8 yr old who wouldn't love and not notice a crazy puppy. I know my golden retriever/lab/Irish setter mix was nuts but I was 7 yrs old and it was great because I had that energy too. There are no guarantees with dogs. Open yourself up to other mixes. I know we're glad we didn't stuck to shepherd/mastiff. If we had, we might not have been blessed to enjoy the craziness and love of Evo Knievo. He's not Kaij (shepherd/mastiff), but then, no dog ever could be - but Evo is definitely the right one for us. Best of luck.

Hey guys , here are my 2 doggies, both of them brothers , i was only gonna take one , but since the mating was an accident (The breeder's dane broke fence and the went straight to the husky). He was trying to get rod of both of them. I just took em both off his hands. They are 61 days old. Sebastian i called the black and white one and Otelo i named the dark gray and white one. They seemed to be pretty mutch huskys to me, but when i brouth them home , went to a friend's house that has a 3 month husky and mine were as big as him and their legs were like a lot longer. Anyway, enjoy photos and ty again!

Lots of hours in Google looking for breeders. Then started looking other places besides Spain and US. Finally after lots and lots of calls , bumped into this guy, that his pet dane broke fence and mate with one of his huskys that he had for breeding. He was giving em away, so finally went up there to get em.

We try to type as clearly and legibly as possible. A lot of our members do not speak English as their first language and text type is not something they can understand. We'd thus very much appreciate the effort so that you can communicate effectively with all our members Smile

when I first got my great dusky, I spent a lot of time googling trying to find information on husky/great dane mix. - I kept coming across this forum... so I thought I would share some things I learned about this mix.

my dog is 8 months old now, her mom was a smaller great dane at 110 lbs dad was a beautiful Siberian husky. my puppy took a lot from her mom, you wouldn't know she was a husky mix by looking at her, with the exception of her eyes.

husky dane mix will grow in between a great dane and husky. - see some pics

I anticipate she will grow to about 90lb she currently 75lb.
her back to the ground, is currently at 24 inch, when she stands on her hind legs she can just lick my face (I am 5'11)

training wise, she is not the brightest but as she learns/masters tricks I found she got better and better at learning new tricks.

she used to be an escape artist, then she got tall and no longer can climb into small holes.
she has more dane personality then husky, until she starts playing. she has the bounce and stamina of a husky.

if anyone picking up this breed, would like more info you are welcome to email me saad.lucien @gmail.com

thanks
lu
