My 10month old pup will not n cannot stop c#@k blocking me. He never whines unless he is wanting to go potty really bad or something has him confused. But I have friends over n things get heated, he is behind a closed door n starts whimpering n crying on n off. It is really frustrating n irritating and makes me regret getting him n having him inside.

Is it his testicles making him do this? I am waiting till he is about a year old to get him neutered...btw

Should I put him in his crate before things get going...??!?

Or is there no hope? Cause I can't take it anymore

Need help! Suggestions!? What do you guys do?

It's probably more the fact that you're behind a closed door that's making him whine like that.

When I have friends over and I close the door my dogs will all act like they cannot understand WHY the door is closed, yet when it's just me I don't matter nearly at all.

haha this cracked me up as well!

I agree with Kristina! Maggie is connected with me or my husband and the hip. she freaks out if we keep her away from us. well unless we put her in her crate. She will lay down and go to sleep.

Have you tried leaving the door open and maybe give him a long lasting treat like a filled kong or rawhide/bone? What did you do when he was younger? Or did you adopt, sorry can't remember.

Well this AM the door was open and he just walked around n whined a tiny bit. Way less than when the door closed n was way tired n not focused on him till he put his paws up on the bed n quickly got down but he would lay down n was more quiet inside the room but I don't feel comfortable with him in the bedroom with.

I've had him since 8 weeks. He slipped by me last night n ran under the bed. Such a punk! Lol had to drag him out n Crate him.

Maybe I should crate him n give him some long lasting treats. But he goes through them in 15mins or less!

Glad I made you guys laugh but he is a prick when females are around. He's like me, female lover lol but the girl is mine not his.

You should see him around females versus males that come into my home. Way different mannerisms

Being a woman I think if I went over a guy's house and we were getting it on and the dog kept sneaking in I would just die laughing. Do the ladies not have a sense of humor or is it you not wanting them in there? My boyfriend and I just keep the door open and they all usually run out lol accept of course for Nicky who think's it's play time and starts jumping everywhere barking and nipping at my hair lol! ... we both laugh and pretend like she's not there or shoo her away.

Closed doors don't work for us either, Cato will stand out there and cry. We just leave the door open. More than once he has jumped into the bed, but we just laugh and push him out. Silly pup.

Wait, i think im seeing a trend here.... most of us with open doors are also in committed relationships or married.....

Jeffrey sounds like he is still "courting" and maybe thats the issue! him and his lady are just not at that stage of the relationship yet to leave the door open, or do you have roommates?

I'd think most girls would find it kind of cute and laugh it off, haha. When I push the dogs off they get butthurt over it and go sulk in a corner.

lol! This is awesome! And all this time I thought it was just me!! We too leave the door open and they just hang out. Mya usually leaves to the couch, Kody lays on the floor by the foot of the bed, and Asia tries to jump on us. She thinks it's play time too Razz

If I were going over to a guys house who has an adorable husky I wouldn't mind to be honest. I would think it's cute. Obviously if he jumps on the bed tell him to get off, but I don't really think it's a big deal.

Hot girls like puppies, that's all there is to it. If she doesn't like puppies, she doesn't have a soul and you need to dump her ass. lol

You ladies n gents are funny.

No the ladies do not mind. They all laugh. Neko is good about not even attempting to jump on the bed. Not allowed. But for ME, its annoying

Especially with his nose buzzing n sex is in the air! Just no good.

Guess crate him with toys n long lasting treat.

N I love to have the best thread ever title!!!Whoo

We usually leave the door open here and the dogs just hang out on the floor....

However.......

The first time my husband and I got hot and heavy after we adopted Dakota is a different story. We were right in the middle of the fun when he decides he wants to see what we are doing, so he hops up on the bed. Awkward! I don't know if he thought my hubby was attacking me or if we were just playing. We shoo him off but he was having none of that and hops up again. And..again we stop and shoo him off. Well, what do you think happens next? He decides to get mad because we won't let him play, so.....he hops up a 3rd time and before we could shoo him off, he proceeds to pee on the BED! affraid Talk about ruining the mood! lol! I was pissed (no pun intended)! We had to get up and strip the bed and wash everything and in doing so ended our fun for the time being.......

I was just thinking about this last night, my boyfriend and I also leave the door open and Rue totally thinks it's playtime and tries to hop up ( he hasn't fully figured out he can jump yet) but will eventually just go lay by the bed and sulk. Our cat on the other hand will lay on the foot of the bed and glare at us the whole time, like we are ruining his bed. Silly animals!

Just a suggestion. . . If your pup is in a safe place and its the noise that bothers you, maybe a little music to drown it out is the answer. I have never had this problem. But I would say the music might be calming to your pup and to you. At the very least you could turn it up loud enough that you can't hear the pup and this would allow you to focus on the matter at hand.

Jeff- I would just crate him and give him a kong to chew on. Smile
