Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. HI! wave I found great information on here and decided to join. I don't have my "bundle of joy" yet. Shes only 2 weeks old and with her mom and siblings. I figured why not join now and begin to read more on here. Im not a first dog owner nor am I foreign to animals in general. I have had snakes, lizards, geckos, fish, turtles, and even cats. My last dog of 13 years past away from cancer in November and lab mix. I have also had "back in the day" a Alaskan Malamute, this was a big dog and big mistake I was 10 when I got him and he was a surprise bday present. I know you guys are like "OH GAWD" New guy here! 1625187496 Yeah long story short he was given back to his breeder where he became a daddy over there to others. So here we are years later getting a husky puppy and I know this will be fun but eventful friend. I told my friends I got a workout buddy! So that's my story hopefully I can be taken with open arms into this forum. I'll post pictures when I get here and any tips I can get will be greatly appreciated. Also I'm from Northern Virginia so is there any fellow neighbors here?

Hello from Lake ridge va. Cant wait to see your little ball of fluffy. What color is she? I'm a recent joiner myself and have found a lot of info to help with jumping up and counter surfing.

Welcome from Alexandria, VA! You should join our Husky meet up group (sorry Meredith lol)

I was telling Erica I believe the closest dog park to you Woodbridge owners is Gristmill dog park, which we go to almost everyday. So, if you guy's are ever interested in getting the pups together hit me up!

Jeez, I go off to make dinner and grade papers, and you beat me to the punch yet again Razz

Welcome to the forum! As Kelly said we do have a meetup group that started up last month, so when your little one is old enough (~4 months) we'd love to have you out at the meet ups. My plan is to rotate around Maryland so the same people aren't driving the furthest every time. Can't wait to see pictures of the little one as well!

Actually woodbridge is getting a dog park on minnieville near Colby Dr near the power lines. I Spent the last couple weekends and possibly this one volunteering to build it. Fence actually went in on Monday. Should know by tomorrow if I'm volunteering this weekend if I'm not Kelly what time do you normally head over to the dog park?

It will be open by spring but the head guy is trying to see if he can get it opened earlier. The fence is up. The poop station and the bushes for the sound barrier are next from my understanding.
