| I don't have a scale so it's tough to know exactly how much I'm feeding per day. But Nikko gets 1 chicken thigh for breakfast, half a pork chop and a chicken drumstick for lunch (it'll be a full chop once all his poops are solid, then a chicken thigh for dinner. Each thigh is probably 1/3 of a pound or so? Maybe a little more. So I'm guessing he gets between 1 and 1.5lbs per day. Is this enough? Or should I give a thigh and a half for breakfast/dinner? |

| Not sure about the weight - there will be some others that chip in about that who are more knowledgeable than I...
I was worried about the weight thing as well. We started Stark off on a course like yours (but just all chicken) when we first started feeding raw, then we'd just keep an eye on him, if he started to get a little skinnier (ie. we could feel his ribs easier), then we'd increase his intake... |

| at about 13 weeks, I fed Tyrion 1 drumstick in the morning (I read something about bone should be in morning/lunch, rather than dinner) a drumstick and thigh for lunch, and a thigh for dinner.
I'd say you're pretty close. You can maybe up his food with another thigh/drumstick for now to see how his weight/body shape looks. If he gets a bit chubby, just take 1 thigh/drumstick away. |

| I'll have to see what his weight is when I bring him in for his 3rd shot on Monday. 3 weeks ago when I brought him in he was 4.06lbs. I'm guessing he's around 7-8lbs right now. But I'll add in another thigh and see how it goes. |

| Well, the thing with puppies is that they grow - so weight may not be the ideal marker to see if you're overfeeding them until they're fully grown... I think the rule of thumb is that if you can feel their ribs without pushing, feed them more - for Stark we'd like to have around a centimeter to an inch of fat around his ribs for us to feel comfortable with our feeding routine. |

| Oh ok. Well I'd rather be safe than sorry so I'll definitely add another thigh a day and see how he does |

| He got his first shot October 12 I believe(breeder did it, he was born September 7). And he was 7 weeks when I brought him in for his first exam on the 29th I think, the vet wanted to give him his second round. And now the vet wants to give his 3rd round, he's 10 weeks old |

| Do yourself and Nikko a favor and get a kitchen scale. You can get them anywhere and they are super cheap. I wouldn't go by how many parts he's getting because part sizes and weights can actually vary considerably. Case in point, I've fed some chicken quarters that weigh 1 lb 4 oz and then other times I've had chicken quarters that weigh only 12 oz. So in that case, the larger quarter was sufficient for my boy while the smaller quarter alone was not yet they were both whole chicken quarters. Moral of the story, invest in a scale. _________________ |

| It's tough when they are puppies - I fed/feed Cato to a mature weight of 50lbs. He eats 16 - 20 oz of meat per day. If your dog is going to be larger, you need to feed more. |

| Alright I found our old scale. He's been getting right around 8oz each meal. So roughly 1.5lbs a day. That alright? |

| I believe for puppies you can go up to around 10% of their actual weight or 1% their predicted weight.

10% of current weight or 2% of expected adult weight. _________________ |
