Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Ok yes I am jealous of all ya'lls cuddly pictures, but my sibe wont cuddle D: i tell him to come up on thee couch and he will climb halfway up (just have his front paws and half his body on the couch) and thats it, he is loving, as in loves to be petted and loves to be wherever hubby and I are, but he doesnt cuddle. Is that just him maybe or could it be that his previous owners not paid him much attention? Any suggestions to make him more cuddly?

Zoey used to hate cuddling but now she loves it. I'd just give him time..

I think it depends on the dog. Kody has been a MAJOR cuddler since day one. Mya was cuddly, but as she's gotten older she's much more independent. Only cuddles in the morning for a few minutes and then she's off the bed!

I think it depends on the dog too. I've had Frankie for over 2 yrs now and he still is not much of a cuddler. He wants to be around me, sleeps on the floor at the foot of the bed, lays in front of me by the couch....but does not like to cuddle. The only time I can get him to cuddle is in the pool, lol. I'm totally jealous of those that have snuggle bugs.

It definately depends on the dog. Dakota, my first sibe wasn't a cuddler. In his 11 years with me, he followed me everywhere but he did not like to be touched. He would tolerate a hug every once in a while from me and an occasional back scratch but you could tell he was like "are you done yet?" Smile Willow isn't much of a cuddler either...she is following in Dakota's footsteps except she doesn't have to always be near me. She has no problems going to lay down in another room by herself. Piper and Aspen are cuddlers, more Aspen. I can't get over how much she likes to lay in my lap.
