| Hello, everyone! My name is Ben and I am glad I found this forum. I am a first-time husky owner and I have discovered that it is almost a full-time job. I found my Kobe on Craigslist and brought him home almost a week ago at 8 weeks of age. I hate to admit it, but attempting to crate train Kobe has been a challenge. He's constantly crying when I put him in the crate, sometimes for hours on end. Luckily, I found the crate training thread so I hope to find some tips and advice from you lovely husky owners and put it to use. Thanks for having me and I hope to read about your adventures with your husky(ies) soon after I get some sleep! -Ben P.S. Here's a picture of Kobe sleeping, enjoy! |

| Welcome to the forum Ben! Congratulations on such a adorable puppy! Kobe is beautiful! Plenty of knowledgeable people here so if you have any questions just ask. Sometimes it may be answered right away, other times it might take a little while but we all try to get any questions answered if we can. |

| Welcome, Ben!
Keep at it with the crate training. I've had three huskies, and the first two beat me. I gave up because I couldn't take the whining.
My current husky is a rehome that somebody else crate trained. It is wonderful! Bodhi just goes inside when it's time for bed. And when we travel, we bring a travel crate and he sleeps inside. I should have stuck with it on the first two dogs. |
