Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Might be picking him up tonight, apparently he isn't a cross, but to me he must be? So cheap as well at the moment, viewing him after work, can anyone help with what he is crossed with please?

That's tough. The coloring and some in the face looks blue heeler to me. Possibly in very minute traces. Unless there's paperwork as proof there's no way I would believe purebred.

I have absolutely no reason but Akita jumped out at me. The set of the ears and the seemingly short muzzle (from the picture - it could be just the angle).

Unfortunately we didn't take him home, we chose against it as he is a year and 4 months, my mother went to view him and he was very disobedient, wasn't on proper food, wouldn't listen, pulled badly on the lead, and my mum didn't want to trust him with Cuba or our two kittens, Its a shame as i felt we could fo trained him and gave him a better home as i found out the owner was a drugdealer, Sad but if he wasn't right for her, i guess its how it is.

That's a real shame, understandable, but still a shame. I liked the looks of the boy, even if it is 'different' but as you said, if it didn't work out then it's just one more home (confusion) to add to the poor dogs history.
With Cuba I don't think you'd have had too much of a problem, but uncertainty when it comes to cats is an entirely different matter.

Exactly, I am upset about it as i feel he needs a good nice home, and we could of provided that and tried to get him out of his bad habits with him being young still, but it was my mothers choice as it is her home afterall, and i can see why she wouldnt want to risk the trouble with the cats Sad It is a real shame.
