Different people use different stuff. I use mousse. some people use mousse and hairspray. Obv. need brushes and the like.

While watching the westminster dog show and asking her favorite dog breeds last night our 13 year old quickly indicates the Irish Wolfhound and long haired chihuahua as her favorite dogs of the night. Could you get anymore extreme in your taste kid? Next up was the old english sheepdog and mexican hairless for her. Lol

Tonight the husky, labs, and retrievers. This will be tough but if lab is black I am betting she picks that one since that is her heart dog.

Those are literally the largest and smallest breeds. Someone in my neighborhood actually has a wolfhound and a chihuahua. He also wears a white leather beret.

I use a zillion different kinds of brushes.....

My grooming routine:

Bath:

1. Cowboy Magic Shampoo - Rinse
2. Blue Minx Shampoo - Let sit a few minutes - Rinse.
3. Mane & Tail Conditioner

Dry.

Style:

1. Brush Coat Up
2. Spray with a mousse-like product ( I try to avoid this and do not use any of this in UKC)
3. Brush back down.

So you brush first tail to head?

No, I brush all the hair up. Like Back combing the hair - so it all is going as vertical as possible.
