Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! Need a little help... Empty

So last week I got the big surprise of Luna coming home early from California (she did WONDERFUL in the U-Haul and loves New Hampshire!) But now we are having some problems. We are living with my parents until we can find a place to live (it hasn't been going well Crying or Very sad ). My parents have a 9 year old Miniature Dachshund, and they don't get along. We have tried everything to get them to tolerate each other but nothing has worked. Luna wants to play and Anja (the Dachshund), wants to be left alone. That's no big deal we just keep them on opposite ends of the house. The real issue is that we have discovered Luna is both food and toy aggressive towards other dogs (but not humans) . Also today she was digging and we tried to dig next to her in play and she growled and snapped at us. We had no idea what to do, we told her no and stopped playing with her but it didn't seem to phase her.

We have her going to a Petsmart trainer, but the trainer doesn't seem very knowledgeable and we don't go again until Wednesday. Are there any suggestions in the mean time? We're hoping a lot of it was the move because she kind of forgot potty training and is slowly picking it up again. Any advice is seriously appreciated, we want her to have no bad habits as an adult!

she could still be getting used to the new place. thats a big change for a puppy. i would say keep an eye on it and try to ask the trainer if you can bring some food in next time and try to get the other people in your training group to give you a hand with the food aggression. lots of puppies around luna's food with a trainer could be beneficial.
