| This is Blaze she is 5 months old. I got her from a breeder who at the time had 4 litters, each with 6 puppies. Of the 24 puppies she was the only one with super fluffy fur, like a cotton ball. Her mom and dad both have standard hair and I am wondering if anyone can help me determine her hair type? Or does anyone think this is just her puppy fur and she will grown into standard fur?
Below are photos of her, as you can see her fur is super fluffy

| Blaze is gorgeous!
I don't see wooly at all. Her coat reminds me a lot of my boy, Kohdi's. I'd say Blaze is "plush". |

| Not really a woolly but at her age her fur still has time to change and be more like her parents. Their fur will also change as she becomes more familiar with the ups and downs of her environment. My girl was pretty slick when I got her because she had spent so much time outside in the summer heat but after years of climate control she doesn't have the swing in coat style anymore and retains longer hair year round. _________________ |

| It's hard to tell but if she has feathering around her ears and on the back of her legs. She is probably expressing some woolly traits. She doesn't look full woolly but she also is a lot plusher than a typical coat.

When I first read this, I thought oh wow, this is possible? Then I thought, well yeah, I guess it is. The wooly is a recessive gene, blue eyes are also a recessive gene, but some huskies are born bi-eyed or parti-eyed, so it can break itself up I guess. Kohdi, was from a large litter of I think 8 puppies, he did have one wooly sibling, a brother. And Kohdi would be described like you said Ashleigh, a lot plusher than typical. Genes are a really interesting subject! |

| Jimmy - while I think of Ami as having a ton of hair, compared to other woolies he's on the lean side. Lots of leg and tail feathers, definite ear and facial feathers but his body is just sort of long/plushy. I didn't realize this until I joined the wooly page on fb - some of those dogs have amazing coats. Like so much fur all you see is fur and eyes |

| Amy, yes! I've seen those fluffy ones! LOLOL More times than not, it's more than just the coat that differentiates a wooly from a standard that I see, it's almost like the coat is just the icing on the cake so to speak. To me, their bone structure is often times much different and remind me of how the original huskies had/have fox like features to the face. With Ami, the ONLY thing that surprises me, is his large size. Most any wooly I've seen, the size is much more like a standard female...not that I get to see *that* many wooly's but even Kohdi's brother, as a pup in his litter (which was the only time I saw him other than in pics) was much smaller than the rest of the litter. Anyways, to me, I just always thought a wooly was a wooly...and that was it, but what Ashleigh posted made me think about that |

| We have a ton of wooly dogs here. They usually are bigger than usual from my experience but not always. _________________ |
