as the classic saying goes: if you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns

I think you will find knife crime is far less than the sheer amount as a result of masacres such as this in the States...Guns don't prevent crime, in the situation you gave a crime was still committed.. I won't be drawn on this one any further, passionately against guns, no one has the right to take the life of another.

Yes the crime of attempted burglary and mugging would have/could have been much more serious without my firearm. I could have become a statistic or I could have easily made the perp the statistic. I prevented a more serious crime.

Not all gun owners are gun slingers. Feel free to think your police will continue to protect just hope they are no further away from you then 3 minutes.

I agree with no one has the right to take another life but if its my life on the line then tough stuff buster your going down. Twice I haven't had to pull the trigger let see if the bad guys want t o try for strike three.
