| Some of you may remember that Emily and I are looking into rescuing a 2nd dog. Given our schedules and Brewer's separation anxiety, the requirements for the new addition are pretty high (house broken, kennel trained, kid friendly, a decent grasp of basic obedience, and above all...the ability to Brewer's BFF). We have been volunteering for MUSHR since we rescued Brewer 13+ months ago, and have taken care of a number of rescues for short periods of time (2-7 days). Recently, MUSHR took in 3 different sets of puppies, which created the need for a new foster home for Fiona. Needless to say, we jumped at the opportunity to start testing out of if a 2nd dog would help out with Brewer's anxiety. She is an exuberant 1yr old bi-eyed Husky mix that needs to put on a few lbs! Fiona: Playtime: Brewer trying to sneak in a kiss: |

| AW she is a cutie.. I hope things work out.. They Play alot like Kerian and Blaze.. It will take time I believe we have Kerian for about 6 months and every once in a while I see some issues.
Good luck she is really very pretty and I am sure Brewer will enjoy have a BFF. |

| Fiona is defintely giving us a great opportunity to see what life is like with two dogs. Not to mention, seeing how Brewer reacts to a new dog in the house. Aside from the occasional rough play, they have been getting along quite well. Fiona has a long ways to go with obedience, but she is slowly picking up on Brewer's behavior...which is fun to see.
There has been some interest in her, so we aren't sure how much longer she has until she is officially adopted. Nevertheless, this has proven to be an extremely valuable expereince for us...and the furball! |

| Awww! Thank you SOOO Much for fostering, especially short term for so many other dogs - it's so needed in the rescue world! How fun!!! It looks like they're getting along, I love how the older huskies teach the younger ones! We've had very short term huskies here a few times - I called them the "bonus huskies". LOL |

| Given how much MUSHR helped us out with Brewer over the course of the first year, fostering is the least we can do. Plus, it is a lot of fun getting to see a lot of the new rescues and introducing them to Brewer. Fluff is one of the puppies they took in recently that we would love to foster / adopt, but are schedules aren't very conducive to caring for the needs of a 12 week old: Husky mix, Wooly Sibe, Mal, etc???? |
