Ugh. Mad So let me start off by saying that this ordeal has been going on for a few weeks. I took him in to the vet when I first noticed a raised area on his chin, still had all the fur on it and was the size of a penny. He diagnosed it as a bacterial infection and gave me Muricin to put on it twice a day.

This is it now...

So I took him back in this morning to see his primary veterinarian Dr. Larsson, and guess what?! it's NOT a bacterial infection Kale's Chin Woes. 1625187496 It's either a fungal infection or a histiocytoma, so he's doing a fungal culture right now. bounce Putting Nolvasan on it in the meantime. Next time I'm taking him to his primary (my boss) the first time - lesson learned. My poor bubbies. Crying or Very sad

I was really nervous when I found out a different vet than her usual one was going to be doing Callie's but he turned out to be great. I wish that was the case for you Sad

I hope they get back to you soon with what's wrong. Poor baby. I know what it's like to have a pup that's itching and you've got no clue why. I just googled the histiocytoma (bad idea btw) and that sounds scary. I hope it turns out to be something that can be treated easily and heals up fast!

I work with both vets (animal nurse/RVT), I just like Dr. Larsson better (for good reason obviously haha) The other Dr is actually the practice owner silent lol I'll be keeping a close eye on the culture at work lol Should get the results within 5-10 days. bounce

Callie's regular vet owns the practice and at first I wasn't fond of him so I completely understand that haha. He's made his way onto my good side though. I think at first he was just kind of judgmental because of my age and my little byb puppy. But I think I've proven to be a pretty capable parent.

That seems like such a long wait. I hope the "in the meantime" treatment helps while you wait for the answer!

No growth yet... one more week. The assistant that was working when I took him in didn't put the culture in the cabinet (they need to be in the dark) so that may be why. Kale's Chin Woes. 1625187496 One more week to go, so we'll see what happens! Shocked
