2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Useless for me too. I tried Grannick's Bitter Apple to keep her from chewing...on ME! She made a funny face 1st time she got a taste, but took her 2 seconds to make up her mind that she would grin and bear it. I can't imagine how it would work to keep them out of places because the smell had absolutely no affect.

Mine don't like vinegar. So, I use vinegar as a deterrent.

The bitter apple spray didn't work for chewing on things for us, but we use it in the car if they start barking or whining, we spray it in their mouth. Now all they have to see is the bottle and they shut up lol!

I've heard of people putting tobasco sauce or even a pepper and it stopped the dog..

Didn't work for us. We had to put it on maggie's wrap when she broke her leg. We also put it on her E-collars because she could chew them off. It pretty much gotten to the point where Darren could spray it in her mouth and she would like the taste! Jennet, my parents did that with their dogs for chewing the couches. That worked!

I think the spray is to diluted to be effective. I had some bitter lime that came in a tube like ointment. Biko, hated it so I guess it worked as he stopped chewing at that time.

it only works for us while it's wet once it dries he could care less. what i need is a liquid form of the taste the last dewormer prescribed to dakota. i would hide the pill in a chicken meat ball and darned if he wouldn't spit the pill right back out after eating the treat. lol

I've used it with mixed results. It stopped them from chewing when I sprayed it on there, but once it dries he will continue to chew.

I've been pretty lucky that I have not really had much destroyed with them. Nikko is pretty good about only chewing his toys, or his little brother LOL.
