She peed on the bed? Empty
PostSubject: She peed on the bed?   She peed on the bed? EmptyWed Jun 12, 2013 9:30 am

We went biking last night, she drank a lot of water before we headed home. She peed when we got home. She didn't want to go outside before we went to bed. After 30 minutes, she started to do the circles on the bed that she usually does before laying down for good. But instead of laying down she started peeing. It surprised me more than anything. I took her outside and she peed a little more.

I'm not sure where to go from here. She's a year and a half. I've had her since last August and hasn't peed inside the entire time I've had her. I cleaned it with vinegar and water and will get some Nature's Miracle after work, but what now? Do I just assume she needed to go and didn't tell me? Should I look into a UTI?

It could have just been an accident.  I think she probably needed to go and didn't tell you.  If she drank a lot of water, it may have taken a while for the rest to get through her system.

Watch her pee cycles today and see if she keeps having accidents.  If she does, then I'd take her in.  One accident isn't enough (to me, anyways) to convince me she has a UTI.  If you have the money, by all means.

Just keep an eye on her and pay attention to anything out of the ordinary. Smile

Thanks for the reply!

I'm definitely not running to the vet just yet, just not sure where to go from here. Nervous to have her sleep in the bed again, but hate for her to sleep downstairs in her crate.

You're welcome. I totally understand. Juneau tore a huge hole in our expensive comforter, and I hate making her sleep in the crate.  ugh lol.  Do you have an old comforter or a couch blanket you can use tonight? Try that.

Funny, Link just peed on my bed too a couple days ago. Shocked He's never had an accident inside so I was rather surprised, but I was also wary of it happening again and he's sleeping in his crate for a couple weeks.

Maya peed on the bed once just like how you described. But she didn't seem to want to go out right before bed. So now i just make sure to let them all out before bed.
