2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Alice the camel has 2 humps..... No, Alice is a rat! lol
Kayla has been begging for a Hamster forever, and I finally told her she could have one. After talking with freinds and family who have or had had small animals, they all convinced me to get a rat instead of a hamster. We are getting Alice a sister soon, and Kayla has done real well with her. She is the cutest and sweetest little thing! Uploading pics

Awww! Rats are the best, way better than hamsters. I use to keep rats, but once we got dogs I didn't get another when our last rat died. I miss having rats, but I know I'd never be able to let them out to run around with my dogs! She will really like having a friend.

I was told they do well in pairs, but wanted to make sure I could dog proof this one first. Neo has done ok. Her house is on top of kaylas entertainment center, and she understands she has to keep the door shut. Anytime neo showed any interest at the door, I sprayed him with a water bottle. I think it will all work out.

I'm sure Neo will be fine. We have a rabbit that is allowed to hop around the house and Akira lets the rabbit climb all over her. Our other dog, the sheltie mix Aries, plays with the rabbit so we have to watch her a little closer so they don't get too rough. But, overall they do great. I think a rat would be about the same.

No way I would let Alice loose in the same room as Neo. You are lucky with the.bunny. Ive let him in the room to see what he does, and he is just way to excited over her lol. I have a feeling we would find her with her tail hanging out of his mouth.

She's so cute! I love rats <3
Once you guys get her sister and they get older, are you going to litter train them? I always found the cages way easier to manage that way.

More pictures? :o

It's just really hard to do when they're babies, once they're adults they pretty much do it themselves if you just put a pan where they go the most. They love to be clean! Except for stinky boys! I've always had problems litter training boys..
