Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hi there Everyone,

I'm new to the forum- I've been lurking around, reading some new and old threads and finally decided to join in on the fun!

My name is Tatianna, or JAM. I am owned by two male Huskies who are (potential) half brothers. They are both one year old and they have honestly thrown a huge learning curve at me that I never thought possible in just the one year.

My boyfriend and I were looking at getting one dog as we were moving from a duplex to a house and he was extremely adamant that he was getting a Husky..and me, not so much. But when we got out there I fell in love with the runt of two litters, and well of course he was coming home with us as well...I definitely don't regret being thrown to the snow dogs..most of the time.

I've stumbled across the forum while researching on Skijoring and Kick Sledding as I've recently found a club in my area that offers lessons with the membership for $20 annually, Lets just say.. I am beyond excited at this point, Because this is something I am definitely interested and committed into doing...as well as during this summer attempting to bike with them. (I'm more afraid of doing that than I am Roller blading which I used to do with my American Bulldog as a 12 year old, But even then..I'm kind of afraid to try the Roller Blading again yet too..)

I grew up with many different dogs, Rottweilers, Akitas, German Shepards, American Bulldogs, Argentine Dogos, Pittbulls, Irish terrier, you name it. I also used to volunteer at a dog boarding and grooming kennel in the grooming area which I loved doing with a passion.

I've never had a Husky before, and this was my Boyfriends first dog before as well. So lets just say, Although I was prepared and somethings I saw coming, we have both taken a learning curve with these dogs. I'm hoping that as everyone else here own a Husky and can also relate to some of the issues that I've been having, this was the place to be.

Kilo is the White/Orange Sable(apricot) (correct me if I'm wrong I just haven't been able to distinguish it beyond either a orange sable or apricot color) and Loki is the dark/mysterious. Wink

Thank you everyone! I think you might have them mixed up Smile Loki the longer haired while Kilo is the shorter haired, He isn't as fluffy as Ami..but I've never been explained whether he was a Wooly or not but I honestly believe that he is.

Kellyb- I am in Manitoba.
