Ugh, I feel like every time I post on here it's because I worry about my pups when any little thing goes wrong, lol!
Anyway, we are out of town visiting my SO's brother, so we are having a very reliable family friend watch the dogs. He knows that, since Repede is a puppy, he has to keep his eye on him all the time to ensure he doesn't get into something he's not supposed to. Anyway, I guess at some point today, Repede threw up all of his food and went and took a two hour nap. After the nap, I guess he began acting a lot more lively (more like his usual self). He did throw up a little bit more, but he is drinking plenty of water as usual, so I doubt he's dehydrated. However, I guess he wasn't too interested in his food tonight and just looked at it. Our friend added some water to it and Repede finally became interested in it and ate some. Still acting normal, and as of now, he hasn't seem to have thrown up.
Now, I've read that this could be a stomach bug or separation anxiety. He has gotten the stomach bug a couple of times, but what concerns me was his disinterest in his food, as he's normally a little piggy when it comes to food. At what point should I become worried? We won't be coming home until sunday, and if I can avoid making our friend take Repede to the vet, I would really like to avoid the hassle.
At what point do I differentiate his symptoms being due to separation anxiety or an illness? And if they are from an illness, when should I take him to the vet? I'd hate to end our vacation early if it's just a minor case of anxiety or a small stomach ache, but I will if I need to.
